MOLD TESTING & INSPECTIONS
Mold Testing and Inspections are useful to identify indoor environmental conditions, the sources of visual mold growth or symptomatic conditions from exposures to sudden or latent water damage, water intrusion, or the presence of elevated levels of condensation within buildings.
Mold Testing Services are provided to assist our clients in determining the number and types of mold and fungus spores and by-products within indoor environments. Though mold is ambiguous, certain amounts of even common-types of mold spores indoors are considered excessive when found above certain recommended threshold quantities. Certain mold types are associated with health risks and considered a contaminant when they are identified indoors.
The experience of symptomatic responses from exposures to both common and uncommon types of mold varies according to individual tolerances. However, for the majority of the population, chronic exposures of individuals to excessive amounts and types of mold and their by-products are known to lower individual tolerances over time and promote long term health effects and illnesses such as asthma and forms of cancer.
Black Mold is commonly referenced by it's visual appearance and associated with serious health effects. The source of toxicity exposure from mold is more directly related to the presence of mycotoxins. Mycotoxins are the metabolized waste by-product generated by mold. Specific testing procedures and analysis are available to identify these markers however; by generally identifying the types and numbers of spores, the probability of the presence of mycotoxins can be considered accordingly.
Inland assists our Clients with mold testing for determining indoor air quality or by the direct sampling of materials and substrates by providing professional services and accredited analysis with immediate (24 hour) to standard (5-7 Day) laboratory analysis and professional, easy to read reporting.
Mold testing is not always necessarily recommended in every situation, but has its place where it is warranted. In situations where the source of water intrusion, moisture, or condensation is easily identified, visual mold can be simply mitigated using USEPA Recommended Practices and procedures and the need for sampling may not be necessary. However, in many cases the source is overlooked when it is not as obvious resulting a re-occurrence of mold at a later date

Mold Inspection Services provided by Inland are designed to identify the sources of mold proliferation which are caused as a result of water intrusion, excessive moisture and the formation of condensation.
Or experienced building inspectors are knowledgeable and practical in determining the sources through the use of methodical non-intrusive and intrusive building material moisture inspections to quickly identify problem areas followed by additional diagnostic testing.
Often mold sampling and analysis is performed during the mold inspection and we provide an easy to understand but in-depth report outlining inspection methods, analysis, results, conclusions and recommendations based upon our findings.
